MICRONITE’s requirement of data integration and flexibility of control functions are increasing because of cost pressures, especially in the areas of quality assurance and labor productivity. The MICRONITE system is built for small/middle machine shops and “self-sufficient” departments of large manufacturing companies. The MICRONITE system is based on the department-cell-machine-job-operation chaining. From this root node succeeding control plans and models are generated. Complex activities on the shop floor, in quality and engineering departments, and in management offices are unified by extraordinary organized data acquisition and knowledge-based data analysis at the time of data entry. The art of conducting business in the machine shop is transformed by MICRONITE into an experimental science. The results of statistical and rule-based dynamic modeling allow a producer to achieve the most essential objectives: reduction of costs and quality enhancements.
